    Chapman will be fine.

Yeah, I'd probably be more worried about the ankle than the 21 pitches.

You can often play through such injuries in the immediate aftermath, but they tend to swell up overnight.

    Agreed on the ankle.

Regarding pitches - 20 or 21, how many warmup pitches are thrown in the bullpen and on the mound?

I would think most relievers wring their arm out to 30 or 50 pitches or so, bullpen and in game. Granted, they might not be going full out on their bullpen tosses, but still, my point is these relievers' arms are used to getting some work just by being told to warm up in the pen.

While I am on the subject - how many pitches do starters typically throw in the pen before doing around 10 on the field?

Just some things I've been curious about. Carry on.

Chapman was warming up for what looked like a most of a half-inning, so I'd guess he threw at least 20 down there.

I think they allow you 8 on the mound unless you are an emergency injury replacement, then you get as many as you need.

Indians had to wrap it up last night. All of the pressure is on them now.
    Cubs playing with house money.

Yeah, who's the Indians' starter, anyway?

I know the games are played by human beings with emotions and frailties, but I don't know how much stock I put into this analysis. Probably not much. Why is "[a]ll of the pressure" on the Indians now? Both teams are competing for the same thing. The Indians had a 3-1 series lead. The Cubs won 103 regular-season games. Oh, and they have to face the best pitcher in the American League over the second half of the season who has a 0.89 ERA in the postseason.

Two excellent teams are going to play a baseball game tonight. It's a coin flip.

You noticed they turned the Fox Tracker off on every pitch. Only the borderline pitches. I recalled one pitch that Fox Tracker showed that caught the corner, but the overhead showed it was at least a ball off the plate inside.

I agree that they are both excellent teams. You don't think there's any added pressure tonight, being that Cleveland was up 3-1 in the series.......the whole Cavs comparison........
Cubs don't care that they won 103. Means nothing. No one expects the Cubs to win a World Series. A lot of people hope they do.

Anthony Rizzo, Kyle Hendricks, and Kris Bryant don't care that Steve Bartman interfered with a foul ball in 2003 or that Steve Garvey hit a home run in 1984. They don't care.

Am I alone in thinking the Indians are toast?
