I don't think I'd have the exact same approach as Write Thinking, but I get it.

It's not proudly ignorant, cranberry, it's disaffected. It's a feeling that no matter who is elected, a person is getting zero benefit from them. Over the past three years, I've seen a close friend go through some challenges that could be helped if politicians were willing to take certain steps. There is no politician willing to address that issue. My friend simply is not "important" enough -- politicians count votes, and he doesn't have enough support to influence an election. So, he's not a priority. It's disgusting.

Look at this election. It's garbage. They are horrible candidates. He's atrocious, an embarrassment. But, he has a chance because she's totally uninspiring. Tell me: how many people really think either of them is going to make their lives better?

You sit there in judgment of the voters. That's backwards. Judge the candidates and the parties. They're a joke.

She's not a joke. She is smart with a sterling resume.

I can't tell which Whitman I'm getting, so I'm not going to engage.

I understand her flaws and I'm not denying them. But she's not a "joke"'as a candidate, and it's not fair to group her and Trump together that way. It's lazy.

    Louis C.K. on the election:

If you vote for Hillary, you're a grownup
If you vote for Trump, you're a sucker
If you don't vote, you're an asshole

I disagree. It's certainly "fair" ... but I would accept "dumb"
