I think the logic is basically "She's doing comparatively well in states she's not going to win (ex. Texas)." So, if she doesn't get boat raced in places democrats usually do, she'll have a strong popular vote total. But could still have swing-state luck go against her by very, very small margins.

EARLY VOTING BLOG: Early voting kills Trump in NV

Basically 80% of the votes are already cast and the party breakdown looks exactly like it did in 2012 when Obama won the state by almost 7 points. There is a little wiggle room, maybe Trump does better with Independents than Romney did, but not anywhere close to enough to make up that big of a gap.
