    1. After how last season ended, it's impossible to imagine Warriors will have same intensity in the regular season this year.
    2. As I've said before, adjusting to the addition of another superstar is hard for good teams, let alone excellent ones. An entire new way of playing has to be learned then adopted. Takes time.

Hey, maybe you guys are right. Maybe Curry will start hitting shots and the magic will be back.

But I just watched a Lakers team that will be in the lottery drop 117 on them. Not having a center changes what you can do on defense, inside and outside. Right now they have the 4th worst points-against in the league. They're giving up more offensive rebounds than any team in the league. That's a problem.

Barnes took a lot of grief from fans (and the team itself I guess) for not being what he was supposed to be -- a reliable scorer -- but his defense and versatility were very important and not easily replaced.

Yep. Time to call up the D-League team.

I think you might be right, but it's still so early. I'd like to see another 20 games or so before getting out on the ledge with you.

Also interesting - Ingram was +22, and most of the Lakers bench was +15. Warriors had 7 players with 20+ minutes, and the big four had 31 to 37 minutes each. It's still early in the year, so I'm surprised they're not just using guys (or fodder) like McGee, McAdoo, etc. more now.

Felt old watching the game. The children of Dell Curry, Michael Thompson and Larry Nance playing and Bill Walton's kid coaching. (And James McAdoo is a nephew/cousin of Bob McAdoo.)

That team, which appears to have had some talent, couldn't win a game in the Finals against the Moses-Doc Sixers. There was some talent in the league back then.

My first game was 1960 All-Star Game. East won, which it should have since at times it had Wilt, Russell and Oscar on the court at the same time. West team was stuck with losers like Elgin Baylor and Jerry West.

To be fair to my guys, Worthy didn't play at all because of broken leg suffered in regular season. McAdoo was hobbled and only played 2 games. Nixon injured shoulder in first quarter of Game 1 and struggled throughout, didn't play Game 4 either.

But Philly was certainly favored no matter what and was best team from Day 1 of season to Game 4. But Lakers should have at least gotten game off of them, even with injuries. Game 3: Philly outscores LA 39-22 in 4th and wins by 17. Game 4: Philly outscores Lakers 33-15 in 4th to win by 7. Games 1 and 2 similar story although not as dramatic. Gah.
