I welcome this for Green Bay. A turd of a season means perhaps an overhaul in keeping Rodgers but rebuilding the whole damn thing.

Looks like Stanford (Luck) will best Cal (Rodgers) today.

  4. Why would Vince Wilfork be a hall of famer?

Some of these boneheads never know when the fuck to go for two when trailing and when to just kick the XP. Never.

Never understood when they try to tackle high. Dive into the legs.

NBC just showed a blatant helmet-to-helmet hit on Newton, in the pocket, that wasn't called.

Something's going on there. He does get different treatment.

No more than some other quarterbacks who are hard to tackle. Roethlisberger often has the same issue.

    Where's Green Bay's band?

Actually, the UW-Madison band was on hand ostensibly to do their Fifth Quarter show, but they didn't go on the field until the game was over.

The NFC North is a major shit-show right now. You have:

VIKINGS: Trying to win games 17-10 with second- and third-string talent just about everywhere on offense except 1-2 linemen (Joe Berger is a decent lunchpail guy who got an engineering degree from the school I covered for seventh years), one wideout, one TE (Diggs and Rudolph are keepers) and a quarterback who is somehow not injured yet.
PACKERS: Totally one-dimensional, and that dimension is wide receivers who can't get open, making an inaccurate Rodgers try and force everything. Also no healthy DBs, which is a bit of a problem in the NFL these days. Fan base will blame it all on Olivia Munn.
LIONS: Suddenly look like a contender, but still bad on both lines and have to throw 50 times a game to win.

And we won't even talk about the Bears.

The refs called more penalties on the Broncos than the Raiders. How on earth did that happen?
