Reminds me of when Scott Walker wrote "Molotov!" in a Hanukkah card a couple years ago.

Haven't you seen Viagra (and Cialis and Levitra and...) ads?

What if he was just referring to Lupica? (I kid.)

Lord help me for cribbing from Drew Magary for pointing this out, but I kind of liked this argument.

If you're the president, part of the job is getting shit on. There's a reason "thanks Obama," is a thing, a reason most presidents leave with bad approval ratings. You're the one in charge, you get blamed for a disproportionate amount of stuff.

Clinton possesses many flaws, but she's real good at taking shit. The other guy, according to the Times, he couldn't make it through a speech at fucking Gettysburg without threatening someone because "There had to be a severe penalty for those who dared to attack him, he said. He could not just sit back and let these women 'come at me.'"

But yeah, he'd make a passible leader of the free world.

At the third debate, when he was asked a question about change to the Supreme Court, the first thing which he talked about what that RBG said something very mean to him and she was forced to apologize. Then when asked what changes he would make to the law, he talked about making it easier to sue people who said bad things about him.

He is a petulant child who sees the entire world through a prism of constant affirmation and vengeance.

    Election Day '16 ...

Been here since '03 and this thread has been one of more illuminating Algonquin roundtables that I can remember, the epitome of human behavior in all its glory, and definitely a learning experience time and again. We're all just flesh and bones and some brains. Let's not lose our shit over the outcome.

I'm on a southbound train to Gotham where the energy is bound to be a little cuckoo.

President Hillary Clinton ... and then let's get on with it.

Here are a few of the first episodes of Horace and Pete, which was Louis CK's glorious one-season run this year. The bar talk re: politics is going to age really well. It will be fun to watch these in 4-5-6 years just to remember what it was like to watch these discussions in real time. The talk about Cam Newton is going to age really well too.

    Episode 1: http://bit.ly/Horace_Pete
    Episode 2: http://bit.ly/Horace_Pete2
    Episode 3: http://bit.ly/Horace_Pete3
    Episode 4: http://bit.ly/Horace_Pete4

Episode 3 has no political talk but is one of the greatest pieces of theatrical drama you'll ever see. It's a crime that Laurie Metcalf didn't win an Emmy.

    Happy Election 2016!

    Happy Election Day all.

In addition to the presidency, I'm in a Congressional district that actually is very competitive, for once. Our current Congressperson is leaving office and the two candidates who are running have a lot of Super-PAC money behind them.

So we've been assaulted endlessly by commercials for the past couple of months, and our recycling bin has been filled with their campaign propaganda. Had a few people knock on our door. I'm ready for the whole thing to be over.
