We've all seen the Red vs. Blue maps over the years, where Republicans generally win more states but Democrats win the populous ones.
CNN has been showing the county breakdowns all night, and it's astounding. Hillary has done well in large cities, but literally almost nowhere else. In Pennsylvania, for example, she has four or five counties around Philadelphia, one or two near Allentown, and one in Pittsburgh. The rest of the state is Red.
Michigan was the same way. She had the Detroit area and Trump had the rest of the state. Every single county.
Same with Wisconsin. They compared the 2012 map, when Obama got a fair number of counties around the state, to 2016 when Hillary had Milwaukee and nothing else.
It's been remarkable to see.

 

Biden will be 77 (almost 78) by then, so I doubt it.

Sessions and Shelby? Shit, those guys were in office when I was in high school.

 

Who knows at this point? How well known was Obama in 04?

The GOP will hold congress and president. It is a notable peak before the next 20 years of sharp plunges in power.

We're 25 years into the right wing media. On this night, it has won perhaps its most significant victory. All the rage and anger paid off.

Pyrrhic victory? Oh, I think so. But we'll see.

 

Shelby's a capable politician and is semi-centrist for a Deep South Republican (he was originally a Democrat). Sessions is just an idiot, but at least if he joins Trump's cabinet st least he'll be out of the Senate.
