Scott Walker already calling on the end of filibusters. I guess he thinks the GOP will always control the Senate.

They will for the next four years pretty much guaranteed. You have no idea how much they can strip away in four years.

Meanwhile, when California is done counting, the national margin will really not be that far off the national polls

They don't care. They have an agenda list and they want it done, and this is the opportunity.

Thanks to voter suppression backed up by SCOTUS rulings, they will.

    Left-leaning voters suppressed themselves yesterday.

The weather was perfect in most of the country on Election Day and they still couldn't be bothered to stand in line. Now they'll just bitter, threaten to move to Canada, take sad selfies and organize protests.

That's like No. 2 on the ALEC action agenda, which Walker has delivered to his breakfast table every morning.

Now they can kick it into gear on the national level.

Americans have a legitimate fear of overpowerful government, Republicans and Democrats alike. Why mess with that sentiment. Whatever he really wants to do, which who knows, it'll just get in the way.

Mandating pre-existing coverage won't accomplish much, if anything, unless you also impose a mandate and community rating (i.e., set universal premiums) and offer subsidies. Right now we're seeing the edges of a death spiral anyway (because it looks as if both consumers and providers are gaming the hell out of the system). Do away with one of the four ACA legs and what we're seeing happening just gets worse.

The problem is our polity simply will not step back from having someone else pay for health care. Doesn't matter that in the end we all pay. There's just some circuit breaker in our collective psyche that says that health care must be paid for out of insurance.

    LOL ...
