Yeah, of course it's not about that. It's never about that.

Jones has three children with former "Daily Show" correspondent Samantha Bee. He went on to complain about what he called "rhetoric" from some parents that, he thought, suggested those opposing the move are "terrified" of having their school relocate to a building near a housing project. He called that characterization, "dishonest at best and slanderous at worst."

Someone had a great response to this, something to the effect of, "You guys know we need water to live, right?"

I generally kind of like her show and think it's pretty funny and informative, though not to the level of John Oliver who addressed how segregated NYC schools are recently. But I can only imagine the scolding, preachy tone she would take if she was talking about this happening in a rich neighborhood in Birmingham or Altoona.

One of the most interesting election day tidbits on the state level is Arkansas passing medical marijuana. Which means a state with a ton of dry counties will have pot more available than booze in some sections of the state.

Will counties be able to be weed free, or will the state determine dispensary locations? In Mass., many communities have made it a pain in the ass to open the dispensaries.

Late, but my congratulations to all those here who supported Trump. Clearly, I did not think he would win.

As a country, we bought the ticket. Now we take the ride.

This one's easy. If they fight for allowing illegal immigrants to stay, give them benefits and other free stuff and a way to go around the current system and become citizens, they'll be loyal Democrat voters. Which, if they let in enough of them, would put conservative states like Texas and the Southeastern states in play.

Think the libs on Facebook and in general need that too. The protests (perhaps not realizing they're becoming what we thought Trumpistas would be had their guy lost). The quadrennial call for elimination of the Electoral College (to which I say, who will the SEC play in November?) which never happens. California secession (yeah, I take that as seriously as the Texas secession). Packing their bags for Canada. And I imagine the list will grow until Thanksgiving, when they can all take pictures around the turkey.

It's over. Clinton lost, OK? I'm not happy either, but, at the risk of starting to chase kids off my lawn, we've been at this since 1776, right? There's ways to deal with it. Get over yourselves.

Not sure. There's scant reporting on it. Even my family member who is a mayor in Arkansas doesn't know the answer or if zoning laws will prevent them from opening in certain areas.

I remember reading the same thing from you when Mitch McConnell vowed to ensure Obama's presidency was a failure and to obstruct everything he did. I think you pretty much just cut and pasted your post from eight years ago, with a few changes.

I don't "support" illegal immigration. I just think there are better ways to spend our money than on the Great Wall of Texas and a deportation gestapo.

Uh, no, because I wasn't involved in the political threads then. Just getting disgusted with the whole Chicken Little thing, I guess, and trying to put it in perspective beyond the life span of so many whose candidate lost.
