I don't know who will be better off until the rich man, who is clearly my superior, explains it to me.

Also I should ignore the fact that he is the one who benefits most from that scenario he is advocating. That isn't coloring his preferences.

Wouldn't it be funny if the guy We The People voted into office on a "change" platform brought in retreads like Gingrich and Giuliani? Totally washed-up losers. Sad!

The number of Wall Street executives already being floated is oddly comforting

    From the LA Times

"Let me be as blunt and as direct as I can be," Gingrich said on Thursday. "Western civilization is in a war. We should frankly test every person here who is of Muslim background and if they believe in sharia, they should be deported. Sharia is incompatible with Western civilization."

I am watching Lloyd Blankfein being interviewed. He was asked about Jamie Dimon for treasury secretary. He thinks it is a good idea: He'd be a good treasury secretary and it would get rid of him as a competitor.

Seriously, Goldman Sachs has controlled things for so long, maybe it *is* time for a change. ... to JP Morgan.

I also think that none of these guys we are talking about have been big enough failures. Jack Lew first ran a division of Citi that required a massive bailout before he was given the keys to the car. Hasn't Jamie Dimon been a bit too successful for a job like this?

Noted: That market crash that the teevee folks were apoplectic about during the wee hours of Wednesday isn't exactly happening.

I have a vision of Cabinet meetings that are eerily similar to the board meetings on The Apprentice, where he pits people against each other for his amusement.

"Newt, who fucked this up? If it wasn't Rudy, it had to be you or Chris Christie."

Saw a link to this story on Facebook, and I immediately questioned the source ... Cracked.

Then I saw people saying to read it.

I don't know if it's anything we don't already know, at least most of us. But ...

"The rural folk with the Trump signs in their yards say their way of life is dying, and you smirk and say what they really mean is that blacks and gays are finally getting equal rights and they hate it. But I'm telling you, they say their way of life is dying because their way of life is dying."

Well, I doubt he's lying, but he should know well enough that anonymous sources are used way too often and aren't always very good.

Everyone has an agenda, and when we have no insight to who the sources are, we can't judge the agenda of the source.

Dimon is a realist about finance. Whether I agree with him on issues or not, he knows the facts inside out. The more people like that in Trump's cabinet, the better.

You'd be surprised how many citizens of the "Non-Free World" consider themselves to be pretty free . . . despite our constant attempts at reminding them how un-free they are.

As long as he keeps up the Kremlin love, it's still cool.

Oh, for fuck's sake, what is the evidence for this kind of story? Is there any documentation for such a thing?

The immigrant community is tight knit. I have a hard time believing that you got wind of this, but the folks working for these contractors and roofers didn't.

Anyone who pulled this would never find someone to work for them again.

And, I'd also think "La Migra" might catch on to what was happening.
