    "Pray any way you'd like."

But what if the government considers the way you'd like to pray to be Sharia? Even if it's not? Do you want them to be the judge and jury of your religion?

I should have listened to Nate Silver.

I figured she was up by 3, and a 4-point polling miss just isn't really a thing, so even in the worst case it was a tie and she would eke it out on GOTV.

Silver's model kept spitting out major EV distribution problems that I thought it was being silly about.

She is going to win the national vote by two full points and lose. That is insane.

Write a check to the government . . . for what? What service did I receive from the government?

"Oh, we can fine you just because we don't agree with your choices, which affect no one but yourself."

Why not make smokers and drinkers write checks, too?

They're taking it well at the DNC:

On Thursday, Democratic Party officials held their first staff meeting since Hillary Clinton’s stunning loss to Donald Trump in the presidential race. It didn’t go well.

Donna Brazile, the interim leader of the Democratic National Committee, was giving what one attendee described as “a rip-roaring speech” to about 150 employees, about the need to have hope for wins going forward, when a staffer identified only as Zach stood up with a question.

“Why should we trust you as chair to lead us through this?” he asked, according to two people in the room. “You backed a flawed candidate, and your friend [former DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz] plotted through this to support your own gain and yourself.”

Some DNC staffers started to boo and some told him to sit down. Brazile began to answer, but Zach had more to say.

“You are part of the problem,” he continued, blaming Brazile for clearing the path for Trump’s victory by siding with Clinton early on. “You and your friends will die of old age and I’m going to die from climate change. You and your friends let this happen, which is going to cut 40 years off my life expectancy.”

Is she going to win by that much?

People keep saying "lol polls got it soooo wrong" and on a state level that is true. 8 jillion polls of Wisconsin and Michigan and Pennsylvania got it very wrong.

When California is done counting, the RCP national average will have missed by less than 1.5 points

You're the one who said that one can pray however they like. But then you put a caveat to it. Well, what defines the caveat, and who should define it?

Private companies already make smokers write checks for their insurance. What extra service are they getting?

Looks like it to me. There are still six or seven million Californian votes to be counted, most of them from liberal areas. Nate Cohn, whose model was the first to pick up the problems in the rust belt as votes started coming in Tuesday, has her final margin extrapolated to be about 2.3 million votes out of 123 million case.
