There's no way to know who would have won the popular vote, if winning the popular vote was what won the presidency.

The whole race would have been run differently.

And people have a choice to work for said company or not. Private companies can do a lot of things that the government cannot.

I understand that and have been serially explaining that to people. It's interesting as a footnote, though.

Can Arpaio and Clarke have a Hell in a Cell match for the job? At least it will eliminate one thug.

That is true and also doesn't invalidate what I said.

People are talking about the state polls. That apparently includes the fool proof internal campaign polls that tricky lawyers questioned.

Oh, it's interesting. It's a rarity, and yet we've now seen it twice in 16 years.

But, people need to realize that people run campaigns based on the rules of the election. The goal isn't to win a majority of all voters.

You, well, probably not for much longer, also have a choice in whether to buy insurance or pay a penalty. Health insurance companies make smokers pay more because they may end up costing them more. Government (at least for now) makes people buy insurance or pay the penalty because uninsured people may end up costing them more. Both health insurance companies and the government have financial reasons to make smokers/uninsured people write checks.

And people need to realize that complaining about shitty, broken rules is still allowed even then.

It sure doesn't seem like a rarity to me. It has now happened in 40% of the national elections I've been a part of and it only cuts one way.

Mrs. Whitman, God love her, has twice speculated that "Russian hackers" manipulated the voting count in the Rust Belt.
