He didn't run an anti-gay campaign. This is ridiculous.

Provide some evidence to back up your claim.

As far as I am concerned, if you voted for Trump you approve of his behavior. From Pussy grabbing to fraud to adultery

He didn't write the party platform.

He didn't campaign on social issues at all.

We have now gotten an email from the high school principal and an official letter (also via email) from the district about the inclusiveness, tolerance and safety our schools promote.

    A bit much.

So what? Does someone who thinks the death penalty should be abolished a revolutionary for thinking that?

Many people, immigrants included, disagree with our application of due process in their lives, does that mean they should be deported? NO. It means we have failed as a society to convince them otherwise and we need to do a better job.

Let's go back to the framers intent times; what were they rebelling against? Being governed by England without any representation. They disagreed with England and set out to form a government that did not restrict freedom of thought, even those thoughts that conflicted with the prevailing mainstream thought.

Once again I'm focusing on the difference between thinking and action.

When we lose the freedom to think differently than the mainstream, then there is no freedom for anyone.

This statement kinda presumes if he hadn't been president, we wouldn't have killed Bin Laden.

I file that under the "9/11 happened on George W Bush's watch" claim. It seems a lot for a president to be accountable for, either way.

    I doubt it.

    1) They already know it's a dead end at the Supreme Court. Remember, this appointment doesn't change the vote, it only replaces one of their own.

    2) No reason to let the Democrats gin up that issue, which is a loser for the GOP as it brings young people to the polls.

Look, even if you think that he thinks gay people are horrible, there would still have to be a political reason for him to go after gay marriage.

So, what's the political reason for why he would do this? In the face of the Supreme Court ruling? With the country becoming more accepting of gay marriage every day?

Why would he do it? It would be a political loser.

Even if he did want to, he wouldn't.

I assume the political reason would be to work with members of his own party. Just because he hasn't made it a priority doesn't mean there will be no action on it during his presidency. As you are so fond of pointing out, legalizing gay marriage certainly wasn't on Obama's agenda before he became president.
