The Trump/gay hysteria reminds me of the "You just wait and see! They'll figure out a way to get three SEC teams in the playoff, and a fourth SEC team will claim it was ripped off!" hysteria.

Just see what HAPPENS first, OK? And if you don't like it, vote him out, OK?

Unless we all die in a nuclear war, nothing his Administration does is permanent.

Yes. Real people's lives are just like football playoff spots.

They're exactly the same when each is a hypothetical.

"Obama's gonna come for our guns!" = "Trump's gonna come after our gay marriage license."

You poke fun at the former; the latter has you in a lather.

I genuinely hope that I've misread Trump that badly and in 2-4 years I look as loony in retrospect as people who believed in FEMA camps.

For those of you who don't seem to understand why the electoral college is in place, watch the video below. It's an ingenious system that prevents pure democracies and requires voting from across the country.

Here's how Trump can win 2020. Part I

Keep the promise to "the blacks". Invest an extraordinary amount of money on security in high crime neighborhoods. Use the national guard. Have checkpoints. Recruit local high school grads as police interns (you would have to ignore minor traffic and weed violations) but triple the investigation and enforcement of real crime.

By his actions and his words for 50 years, Trump has shown he's a racist and a misogynist. You had the opportunity to reject those values, and you didn't. You elected a racist and a misogynist. Bravo. That says everything.

Yeah, that's a pretty shitty comparison. Stoking hate and makign minority groups fearful of attacks is not a football game. Potentially rolling back marriage rights is not a college playoff. Maybe it won't happen. But it must be clear that it can never, ever happen. People should not be made to live in fear, and right now a whole lot of people are living in fear. This is not "hysteria."

And I've said, I hope Trump is a good president. Because I want this country to succeed.

But there's no indication so far that it's going to happen.

I think what's overblown is him getting picked on and nuking a country. But his Twitter crap tonight doesn't exactly make me feel better about his thin skin.

My blood pressure is in a safer place today than it was all day Wednesday, but I'm still just as filled with shame, fear, disgust, rage and disillusionment as I was when I finally fell asleep at 5 a.m. after the election. I feel gutted, still, because tens of millions of Americans voted for someone I consider the very worst of us. My faith in the people of this country has never been rocked like this.

    Shit.

    Part II

No one should be forced to have their children go to a school they don't want. A white person, (I am not white) , should not be forced to have their children go to an inferior school just to balance things out. Vouchers are the thing, the smarter you are the better results you will get with your school voucher. Capitalism works so much better than Socialism when your government is fair and not corrupt.

Yup, Rick. That's what they were thinking as they lined up in North Dakota: "My vote actually counts extra!"

Nobody is being forced to send their children to a school they don't want to with or without vouchers.

Although I don't have a huge problem with vouchers in the abstract.
