They probably need to address that, but Duke's stadium situation is light years better than what it was a few years ago. Perhaps that's next on the list.

I remember stories from when Alabama played there a few years ago about them having to scramble to arrange RV parking, since it apparently had never occurred to anyone to bring a motorhome to a Duke game before.

The visiting LR at WSU is in the Bohler Gym annex, adjacent to the stadium. Players go out a tunnel, it's not that long of a walk.

At OSU the visiting LR is in adjacent Gill Coliseum. You go up a ramp, leave the stadium, cross a street, then into the Coliseum.

At Washington the visiting LR is in Hec Edmondson Pavilion, adjacent to Husky Stadium. You go out a tunnel, down a hallway, then into Hec Ed.

At ASU the vising LR is located in an out building connected to SDS by a long tunnel. It's quite a hike.

Lots of schools are reluctant to spend $1 million or more on a room that used just 6-7 times a year, by someone else's athletes. Some of the visiting LRs in the Pac-12, especially Arizona, USC and Cal, are absolute dumps. They are really cramped, even with the travel squad capped at 65.

Caveat: Both WSU and UW have upgraded their stadiums since I've been there in a coverage capacity, so maybe the visiting LRs are now on-site. But they weren't in the not-too-distant past.

UNC's defense looking awful against Duke.

Carolina hasn't picked off a pass all year? That's some good defensive coordinatin' Gene Chizik.

I like how the chain gang guy in Tempe, Ariz., is randomly rocking a Dolphins cap like this is 1991 and he just got back from Champs Sports after spending his allowance on new gear.

Has Dennis Erickson never saved a penny in his life? Man's been a head coach at seven different colleges and twice in the NFL, now he's slumming it as Utah's running backs coach.

Three hours on the football field gives his liver a nice midday break.

He's been there for four years at least. He loves to coach. He has a huge house on Lake Coeur d'Alene, still married to his first wife, and looks great. Can't speak for others but he was very media-friendly in the years I covered teams he coached and practices were always open. He has been more than cooperative in the ensuing years on followups, etc. His son was a high school coach in my area, I saw Denny at a game several years ago and he was very gracious and friendly to everyone who came up to speak to him, and there were a lot, as he is still very popular in Microville.
