Basket of Deplorables didn't refer to middle America.

There has to be a comedy bit (or maybe scifi?) that had Chelsea running against either or both Bush twins somewhere.

No. But it was taken that way by a large group of people. She should have never said it. She should have never gone after his followers.

If she wasn't a billionaire, she wouldn't work for Dick's little joke.

I doubt she came up with that on her own. I wonder who thought that would be a good idea for her to throw that out there.

Obviously the most fervent Trump supporters -- deplorable or not -- were not going to vote for Hillary. But that comment resonated far beyond David Duke and friends.

Thinking about the Cabinet, who gets the Cabinet position that oversees the main guy's social-media accounts?

Part of it is "hey, you can't call my Uncle Denny deplorable, only me and my family can call Uncle Denny deplorable."

I would be shocked if that came from one of her handlers. I think that line was Hil's all the way.

And yes, anyone who was considering voting for Trump took that a bit personally.

I'd buy that if I thought there was that much overlap between the two extremes.

Oh, where I'm from everybody has a white trash Uncle Denny, and even if you didn't want to vote for Trump, it was still a turnoff to hear Hillary label his supporters deplorable. Even if she wasn't talking about all his supporters. Even if deep down you knew she was right. You didn't want to hear HER say it.

Obama's guns and religion line was similar, but he was likable enough it wasn't a big deal.
