Steelers blow another one thanks in very large part to an idiotic facemask penalty by Sean Davis that handed the Cowboys field goal range with 15 seconds left. The Cowboys wouldn't have been in position to hand the ball off if Davis doesn't hand them 15 yards.

For those who did not see, Jason Witten caught a short pass and Cockrell had him wrapped up. Davis just reached in and grabbed the facemask to put the ball easily in Bailey's field goal range.

You have to wonder a bit if the Steelers should have taken their time on their last touchdown drive, but you have to make sure you get the touchdown.

The Steelers have the much easier part of their schedule remaining, but a 4-5 team that plays with such inconsistency doesn't seem likely to make the playoffs.

Tomlin is a very good by virtue of his excellent winning record. But his players over the years are dumbassmutherfuckingretards, often. And it's on him.

Only three games on late, none I really cared about, so I figured, "Yeah, it's a good time to go out to dinner and the grocery store with the wife."
Only missed three games decided in the final minute, two of which had teams trading scores in the last two minutes, and a walk-off field goal.
    Didn't miss a damn thing.

    Meh. These games all suck.

I had never watched a Cowboys game in detail until this p.m., but that Wilcox guy on defense either had a game well above his performance average or is damn good.

He jumped out because he had some big hits. I don't think he was a starter until Church got hurt. It's not like the Cowboys played well in the secondary. They got away with pass interference a few times and still gave up a big day to Roethlisberger even before the meaningless passes to Brown on the final two plays.

Elliott is a beast. Physical runner with explosive speed, but it's that ability to make defenders miss with a quick move while not losing forward momentum that makes him really tough to deal with. Prescott also made some great throws. Sure, he often has all day to throw, but aside from a few shaky moments, he played very well.

There ain't nobody on the Cowboys' defense that's damn good.

Sean Lee is pretty good, but with two starters hurt, that secondary is very shaky. They got a few lucky breaks today, including the four two-point tries and some other odd play calling and still gave up 30 points.

The Dallas defense's best contribution to the victory might have been its imitation of a sieve on Pittsburgh's final touchdown drive. Letting the Steelers score so quickly, taking just over a minute off the clock, gave Dallas time to retake the lead. If they had been just a little less incompetent, maybe Pittsburgh burns up enough time on the way to the go-ahead touchdown to put the game away.

Forget about rookie of the year. Prescott and Elliott are making big runs at MVP.

You forgot to mention that the refs missed a blatant 15 yard facemask on the play before.
I have to admit: I hated the Elliot pick and thought the season was over when Romo went down (though I knew it wouldn't be as bad as last year). As a real life optimist and sports pessimist, I've been right about Dallas a lot for the last 20+ years. It's been a fun stretch.

They did miss that one, but it ended up meaning nothing because the Cowboys scored the winning touchdown on the drive anyway. The two pass interference calls on the Cowboys in the end zone that they missed earlier did have an impact because the Steelers got only three points out of those two drives.

I'm not saying officiating decided the game. The penalty on Davis was stupidity on his part and a good call. I'm just saying the officiating was even at best.
