Which is the chicken, and which is the egg?

City dwellers need/want things like public transportation, "affordable housing" and other social services, which undoubtedly influence the politics of the people who live their.

The manufacturing/union legacy, coupled with the large number of government employees, influences politics.

Lots of African-Americans in cities, and they're a traditionally democratic -- though not necessarily "liberal" -- voting block.

Dems definitely got drunk on social issues and identity politics. It's going to be tough for them to unlearn that, especially when the whole plan to retain the presidency in 2024 was to nominate the first Hispanic President.

Trump's victory really is going to hurt the Dems in a number of ways. A Clinton administration would have surely included some sitting governors and Senators, allowing them a bigger platform, and putting some new blood in their place.

    Now, that doesn't happen.

They don't have any committee chairman who can make a name for themselves.

The stars of the party, Sanders, Biden, and Warren are too old, and too white, to run in 2020.

Tim Kaine is not a star.

The tree most visible members of the party are going to be Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and whoever the head of the DNC is. So, and old (76), white, San Francisco liberal; an old (65), Jewish, New York City liberal; and either an old (67) white, liberal from Vermont, or and African-American, Muslim convert, from an upper midwest state, that is very white, and trending Republican.

    Should be fun.

We're going to build a fence, call it a wall, and make single moms pay for it. Goodbye head of household tax deduction.

No, the reason they don't have sex standing up is because someone might think they're dancing.
