I'm open to a lot of ideas right now, including that Trump and/or the people handling him are a lot smarter than I think.

I'm just trying to get a handle on where we stand. The left's idea of race relations are politically irrelevant for at least the next four years. Any battleground will be between the different shades on the right.

There will be stricter anti-fraud voting measures and any effect they have on minority turnout will be deemed incidental. Police are about to get budget increases and an incentive to crack down on gangs.

After that, I'm not sure. How does a New England Republican vote on Show Your Papers laws? How important is stare decisis to a conservative justice when affirmative action comes up again?

While he was running as the non-baby-killer candidate, I just assumed he had probably paid for about a dozen abortions.

Fer fuck's sake ... to the degree that the left has an idea on race relations, it's that the right is uniformly and unrepentantly racist.

First, ideas don't get made irrelevant by landslide elections, let alone this one. Republican ideas remained highly relevant in 2009, and justly so. Your scenario is a formula for endless civil strife. On the bright side, Sec. of State John Bolton can unite the country behind plans for another Mideast war.

Perhaps. But it is nonetheless completely irrelevant. It has no influence whatsoever.
