Ummm ... you really think Trump visiting, say, Portland would be a balm to the nation's wounds?

 

Would it hurt if he visited there instead of Birmingham and Dallas?

I don't get the outrage about him not keeping campaign promises. That's great news. The promises were terrible. And if he loses popularity among his supporters for lying to them, all the better. Why would you want to hold him to stupid policy ideas?
The only comfort I have after his election is that I never believed anything he said.

 

Next thing you know, Baron will argue Trump has to live up to his campaign promises.

 

Either way, my Facebook feed's gonna be covered up with the outrage.

 

Maybe this is the appeal. If you support Trump, you can ignore what he actually says and imagine he is promising what you want him to promise.

 

You think that's a unique quality for Trump supporters? If this thread shows anything, it's that a certain percentage of people pick a side then look for the easiest way to justify it.

 

Hey, he's the one that said them. Maybe he shouldn't be such a straight shooter.
