Interesting that Democrats would be happy with the guy who has been running the GOP in a position of power in the White House. What is there to like about Priebus?

He has yet to express views denigrating entire ethnic minorities and religions as inferior and dangerous to white Americans. He's a creature of the two-party system. If a Trump policy looks like it would damage other Republicans politically, he would likely argue to change it.

It still feels like an extension of the last 10 years of national campaigns. Every Republican, every conservative, no matter their qualifications, has been painted as a flaming racist, misogynist, homophobe, general evildoer, etc. In other words, there are no acceptable candidates for any position.

Like Ari Emanuel, BET founder Robert Johnson, and Congresswoman, and former DNC Vice Chair, Tulsi Gabbard.

Maybe you just aren't paying attention to who he is meeting with.

Trump to meet with Tulsi Gabbard

I guess in comparison to Bannon, everyone else is acceptable.

Probably fake news. I didn't see anything about this on Twitter.

That's hurt feelings, not reality. There's an enormous difference between Sessions and ANY Bush appointee except for Cheney, a truly evil man. Criticism that policies disproportionately and negatively affect people of color, gay people, etc. are not the same thing as criticism of a person for racist and homophobe sentiments. All policies create winners and losers. Pointing out the losers is what any opposition is there to do.

Weren't you ripping stories reported by just one new org using anonymous sources over the weekend?

The two people whose names have been floated for UN Ambassador are a Democrat woman of color, and a gay man.

(I'm guessing 90% of the folks here don't even know who the gay man under consideration is.)

We'll see how long that lasts, if it actually happens. That will depend on who he actually nominates after the candidate shell game is over.

Nothing, but like Romney for SoS, he's very acceptable by comparison. He's a pure establishment Republican operative, but he's stable compared to the batshit crazy around Trump.

There seemed to be a brief moment of relief when Romney's name was being floated that at least one adult might be invited into the room, but then it was back to the nuts and the Nazis.
