That is some scary shit.

I've worked on college campuses recently and gone through the mandatory safety training. They're pretty upfront now in telling people these things never end well with calm or negotiation etc. Basically all that "Don't Try To Be A Hero" goes out the window and you are in fact supposed to try to be a hero.

 

Gang-rushing a shooter in close quarters would seem to work best, but that's a hard idea to sell.

Cops with guns stop bad guy who used car and knife as weapon.

But, before that's sorted out, gun control advocates were already busy trying to use this situation to advance their own agenda.
