    This never would've happened if the federal government had forced him to say "Merry Christmas" instead of "Happy Holidays."

    Why?

    We don't convict on eyewitness testimony alone, even when vetted by a prosecutor, because we know it can be unreliable.

    But, stick a microphone in front of an 18-year-old, running out of a building, and relay whatever he says to a wide audience?

    Journalists would call on other professionals to resign, rather than follow unethical directives.

    Folks could at least "blow the whistle" on such behavior.

    But, instead, they just follow along?

    We only have your word on that, which is meaningless. The real question is if you ever place unrealistic expectations on an employee, and that is the issue here.
