Are you going down the 93 Devil road where the referee brought his murder on himself?

Hell no. But it's foolish to ignore that some people may have legitimate gripes and get frustrated enough that they feel violence is the only answer.

Of course. And things seemed to be going well for him.
He went to community college for two years and transferred to a university.
He was certainly aware that people had much worse personal struggles than lack of a prayer room - people in places such as Somalia and Burma. He was aware of the burdens of their lives in comparison to the burdens of his own life.

I understand that his personal history and cultural dynamic was very different from mine.
I also understand that he may have been emotionally troubled.
However, those are not mitigating factors with regard to his actions.

YF and others should criticize journalists when they get stuff wrong, or when "put it out there first" overwhelms trying to get it right. We should be held to a high standard.

But mainstream media's ability to cover "big" breaking news is the least of its problems. It's one of the few things TV and newspapers do halfway decently these days.

Broken economic model ... the blurred lines between paid content and "news" ... lack of resources/willingness to do in-depth reporting. All of these are much higher on the list of problems.

Think of the sign you see in half the auto repair shops in America.

Price. Quality. Speed. Choose any two.

America made its choice with regards to media long ago. Guess what didn't make the cut?

At least I don't call all Muslims terrorists, unlike yourself.

Sorry. I misquoted you. You didn't call all Muslims terrorists. You just called them all mass murderers. From Thursday, in response to my post at 10:34 p.m. EST and your post five minutes later.
