Carson's own spokesman said Carson has never worked in government, knows nothing about the way departments operate and admits his appointment would hinder the Trump presidency. In this context, Carson qualifies as a know-nothing.

Yes, but we're in a post-factual society now. In addition to nuance and deep thinking, context is another quality that is useless in today's four-word attention span society.
