You know why Brits don't make computers?
That can't figure out how to make them leak oil.

NC knows this but the rest of you sleeping on Miatas should know that Car and Driver lists it in its Top 10 year after year:

    2016 10Best Cars: Mazda MX-5 Miata - 10Best Cars

Meanwhile, I've got my eye on the new Miata's Italian sibling, the Abarth Spider.

The good thing about the Abarth is that the only real difference is the engine and a bit of sheetmetal, so you can tap all the aftermarket parts and accumulated wisdom of the Miata marketplace if you do buy it. I stay with the Miata because it has proven to be pretty much bulletproof, but I really don't have a problem with that choice.

I drove a Fiero in the 90s, which is vastly worse than driving one in the 80s.

I did, too, and it was very fun on twisting, turning blacktops in the Ozarks. Engine spit the bit at about 85,000 though.

You don't see many of them these days, and the ones you do are all the 6-cylinder version because the 4-cylinder engine was shit.
