You don't even need a Twitter account to see Trump's tweets. Just log out and look at his page if you're blocked.

That doesn't answer my rhetorical question or the point it raises. I kept hearing from Trump supporters okay to be so cozy with Russia even with mounting evidence that they were trying to meddle in the election, because it was important to have good relations to a powerful nation. So if that is true, why is it also okay for Trump to start fucking with the U.S. relationship with China before he has taken office?

Again, this isn't all Trump supporters. Unlike some folks here, I don't lump everybody I disagree with into one group that only thinks one way. But there are some people who seem to be twisting themselves in rhetorical knots because they feel the desperate need to justify everything Trump does.

Perhaps he could have at least waited until he was in office for this and perhaps made sure he learned more about the situation before stepping in it. I think there is a steep learning curve at the beginning for every president, even moreso for Trump given his complete lack of government experience. His skills could translate and I hope they do, but that takes effort, time and perhaps a bit of help.

    Remember:

    1) Fact checking has established that the vast vast majority of everything Dumpf utters, publishes, tweets etc etc is a lie; it is certainly logical to operate on that presumption. Any time Dumpf and somebody else issue conflicting accounts of any subject, presume Dumpf is lying. To even entertain the possibility Dumpf is being truthful is literally begging to be suckered.

    2) Dumpf is a troll. Trolls get their rocks off by pissing people off. They mark success in any activity by the maximum number of people they piss off.

That's great for fratboy fuckers on talk radio, but not so good when you're running the most powerful nation on the planet.

Nothing in the history of the US/China relationship suggests that Trump's phone call will do any damage to it:

That didn't answer my question. I don't think it does major damage, but it's not a good start. Why is it important to cozy up to one power, but it's fine to give the other the finger before he even takes office? The points are inconsistent.

It's like the sniggering fratboy troll when he meets the pretty girl from the fancy neighborhood. He dumps a bag of dog shit on her front porch just so he can see how pissed off her daddy gets.

This is based solely on your own impression.

What has Trump done to "cozy up to Russia?"

Trump repeatedly said during the campaign that he, like Reagan, believes in "peace through strength".

Trump clearly isn't going to follow foreign policy norms because they are foreign policy norms.

    He told us this.

Meanwhile, you might want to look at who Trump is about to name as our Ambassador to China. His policy towards them is not to give them the finger, but to show them that they won't dictate our policy towards Taiwan.

I don't have a talk radio host feeding me impressions, so I have to come up with my own.

YF, I'm saying that was the defense when there were reports that he and members of his campaign said he was too close to Russia or that the Russians might be trying to manipulate the election in his favor. The argument was that it was a good thing for him to get along with Russia.

It's about that hypocrisy again, that willingness to defend him no matter what action he takes or what he says. Everybody should watch Trump with a critical eye just as we should have been watching Obama the last eight years. But many Republicans have become so defensive due to the ugliness of the campaign and the embarrassing shit their guy says that they refuse to question anything he does at this point and that isn't good.

And before you go into "look at the other guys!" mode, I've questioned Obama plenty over the last eight years. Most of what I posted here that I disagreed with was on education, including his appointment of John King.

I know you won't really pay attention to this unless you can find a grammatical or spelling error to poke fun at. If I really expected you to be reasonable, I wouldn't have started with a joke at your expense. But I do hope the point eventually sinks in. Trump won. That fight is over. Now it's time to actually pay attention to what he does with his new-found power.
