Closes with a second-round 65, seven off the lead. Seeing some promising things, perhaps most importantly that he seems to be enjoying himself.

This course is set up for birdies. Really a par 68. Woods played well for sure.

Hit a variety of shots and putted well. Biggest thing for him is he looks healthy.

Would love to see him add a few events before his regular schedule starts next year, assuming the rest of this tourney goes well.

A not so wild guess ... we'll see Tiger at Torrey, Scottsdale, Riviera and Bay Hill at a bare minimum in the Masters run-up.

Add The Honda Classic and whatever they're calling Doral now to that list.

Doral's gone. Outsourced to Mexico. Guess Trump couldn't keep that in the country.

Wonder if he might add the Sony in Hawaii in mid-January. If not, Torrey Pines would be next late January.

    No chance.
Upon looking at the schedule....betting he starts at Torrey Jan 26-29, skips Phoenix and Pebble, plays Riviera Feb 16-19, off to Honda Feb 23-26, WGC in Mexico March 2-5, Bay Hill March 16-19, then The Masters April 6-9.

Woods 4-under through 5 holes in round three. Holed out from the bunker for bird on No. 5.

Him and Fowler both turned in -4. Fun 9 holes to watch.
