Let's not get crazy. It's not like they're a 7-5 Big 10 team.

 

I'm still amazed they beat Penn State. Not because I was particularly impressed by the Nittany Lions, who weren't playing nearly as well then as they are now. I'm just stunned that the defense actually got a stop with a game on the line, though it took a bad play call and an awful throw into coverage to do it.

 

What finer participation trophy for a team that finished third in a seven-team division?

 

Not sure who thought "this could be the year" Army beats Navy, but today's game certainly helps the Knights' cause.

Besides being overwhelmed by a physical Temple team while Army rested, Navy lost its starting QB and best slot-back to injuries.

 

Paul Palmer's not walking through that door.

 

Western Kentucky about to beat Louisiana Tech 58-44 in the Conference USA championship game. Does anyone other than Alabama, in any conference, play defense any more?

 

Only USC because they're awesome at everything.
