All you need to do is provide seven responsible witnesses (preferably verifiably Republican), a certified birth certificate, a police report, a DNA sample, and twenty-seven eight by ten color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back explaining what each one is and he'll be fine with your quote.

    I think.

Look at the words used in these articles. He "set a tone". He provided "leadership". He "concentrated".

That's not evidence of, you know, actual work or experience.

Castro was a figurehead, supported by his party on a national level -- because he fit a profile, and had a personal narrative -- who showed up at groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings.

    He had no actual power.

“To me, he lost interest in this city a few years ago,” said Robert Stovall, the chairman of the Republican Party of Bexar County. “He hasn’t left us in good shape. Good luck to him. We’ll put the pieces back together in San Antonio.”

Larry O'Brien brought a wealth of relevant experience to the job of Postmaster General back when it was a Cabinet-level gig.

I'm certain that the Republican Chair gave an unbiased assessment and that partisan politics didn't factor into it a bit.

This is a game liberals and their friends in the media play all the time.

When a Democrat woman or person of color achieves some high office, that accomplishment is celebrated for the mere fact that a woman or person of color has achieved the position.

The person's personal narrative is cited as evidence of their credentials for the job.

But, it's just the opposite for Republican women and persons of color.

Republicans have fewer persons of color in their party. But, it's demanded of them that they choose a "diverse" cabinet. (Or staff, or whatever else we are talking about.)

But, no matter who the Republicans choose, if they are a person of color, their qualifications are questioned in a manner we never see with Democrat nominees/candidates/staffers.

Well, he certainly thought Castro had some power.

Nah. He was bashing a Dem nominee. He knows the Mayor's job is a show job.
