Trump is such a hoot. Time makes him Person of the Year and he praises the magazine, says he has read it for years and points out that it has put him on the cover a lot. He is so predictable. It bet the mirrors in his apartment have to be replaced often for overuse.

Why do you think he holds these "Thank You" rallies? I don't think it's to build momentum for his agenda or to thank his voters or, probably not to establish a cult-like group of followers who will be on board with whatever he asks.

I think it's simply that he enjoys a room full of people applauding him.

He's the first president to have a giant ego.

Yes. I was just thinking how much he reminded me of Calvin Coolidge.

It will be interesting to see if Trump is willing to do what other presidents have done, and make their political appearances primarily at fundraisers for their party and its other candidates. I'm not so sure he wil.

    Re: Air Force One

Why do I think Trump is angling to kill the contract so he can then rent his own jet to himself at a hefty profit?

The left has suddenly made a huge deal about "fake news".

The same media that brought us the UVa rape story, "Hands Up Don't Shoot", the Koran flushed down the toilet story, and the George W. Bush went AWOL stories is suddenly worried about "fake news".

The same media that published Jayson Blair, Stephen Glass, Janet Cooke, and Walter Duranty is suddenly concerned about "fake news".

The same media that still employs (or turns to as an expert) Mike Barnicle, Mitch Albom, Doris Kearns Goodwin suddenly thinks "fake news" might be a problem.

Meanwhile, lies about Paul Ryan are told, spread and recycled by members of the media without comment or concern.

The idea that Russians "hacked" our election is treated as a "real news" story despite no evidence

Anti-Muslim and anti-Semitic incidents, fueled by Trump, are reported, without evidence, and often turn out to be fake, but that doesn't concern the media who trumpet these stories before even attempting to confirm them.

The same media that reported that Donald Trump admitted to committing sexual assault is worried about folks being defamed by "fake news".

The Huffington Post added a disclaimer to every article about Donald Trump that called him a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, and racist, but now the media is concerned about how people are covered.

If the media wants to be a critic, they need to both heal themselves, and they need to be impartial in their criticism.

That's not been the case so far, and until it is, many Americans will see them as partisans, who don't deserve to be trusted.

I have no idea what is in his head. But no.

    1) That kind of self-dealing government expenditure could never pass ethics muster. 2) Air Force One meets very specific specs. The secret service needs to be able to protect the president and vice president. It's not just a matter of getting from point A to point B. Otherwise, the president could just fly Jet Blue.

Again: You're a Rush Limbaugh listener, who apparently doesn't see Rush as a partisan who doesn't deserve to be trusted.

@YankeeFan there's a huge difference between the occasional misses - and yes, while you have compiled an impressive list of screw ups, those are a small percentage of the volume of stories the mainstream media cranks out - and "news" outlets that are designed to mislead, that aren't even attempting to tell the truth when they get it wrong, that aren't getting taken by a bad source but are the bad source.
