Imagine him tweeting something similar about the strategic brilliance of Osama's 9/11 attack.

 

If you want to talk about the historical context of Pearl Harbor and Japans actions, reasons and abilities, do it the other 363 days of the year.

Agreed, a bit of a radioactive topic, but I think he was making a point that we can't aftord to be surprised again (which would be a third time. Some at my shop refers to 9/11 as Pearl Harbor #2.)

 

It's a post-factual world now. Context doesn't matter. Nobody has an attention span longer than one tweet.

 

I would like to suggest that citing tweets is a hopeless and useless means of advancing any political debate/discussion. Even Trump's. Especially Trump's.

 

Fake news stories were so unfair to democrats in 2016:

They're great stenographers for the State Department, however.

 

Same take -- talking points, plagiarism, or just "great minds" thinking alike? -- but a little higher up the food chain.

These folks really are unhinged.
