Is the Santa Claus-dying kid story made-up b.s.?

    A couple of other things...

If their was nothing more the hospital could do for the boy, and a DNR had been issued, it's likely they would have brought him home to die.

And, if he was in the ICU, he would have been on monitors that would have gone off, and brought his parents into the room.

But, it's also not how people die. You don't have some final burst of energy, talk in full, excited sentences, open a present, and then die quietly, and quickly.

Dying takes some time, and is slow. The doctors, nurses, and parents know it's imminent, but you don't know how long it will take.

But, in general, your breathing becomes slower, and more shallow.

You think the person is about to pass, and has taken their final breath, and then they take another. This goes on for a while.

It's sadly not as fast and beautiful as described here.

    The story is everywhere.

All kinds of outlets have written it up, but they've all just done a rewrite of the original story. No one has questioned it, or done original reporting.

It's only a matter of time before someone verifies somehow that it's fake. And there will be plenty of people pissed at the reporter who breaks that story when that happens.

I want to learn more about this paleocare.

Are we talking rosemary poultices and trephination, or just placing the sick/injured on a hillside and walking away?

LOL. That will teach me to not look up the word.

    Palliative care!

WTF is wrong with me. Paleocare sounded so right to me.
