Is the Santa Claus-dying kid story made-up b.s.?

As he had to to keep the lie alive.

As it was pointed out previously -- by Dixie? -- only one hospital met the 15 minute criteria, so if he held to that, his story could be disproven.

But, changing that one detail convinces me the story is complete bullshit.

I will be curious to know if the Army Ranger bit gets proven false too.

 

Santa Claus is real. BUT HE'S A LIAR!!

 

In my experience, guys tend to lie especially often for no reason about military service and athletic accomplishments. So, probably.

I learned this while pitching for the Yankees after my tour of duty in Iran with the Air Force Seals.

 

This better be true:

His dying wish was to marry her. A hospital sprang into action to make it happen.

 

No reason? Oh, I think we know exactly why men would lie about military service and athletic accomplishments, generally.

 

Assuming this is made up, it just shows how people love a lie.

I blame the reporter. Guy is a veteran. He should never have written the story without some kind of confirmation. Once the story is written, I am sure the Web folks and editors and all were slobbering all over themselves to print it and talked themselves into believing that Santa wouldn't lie about a thing like this.

 

By no reason, I mean they aren't trying to get out of trouble or anything. Just puffing themselves up.

Firing offense if story is false? I say yes.

 

But it wasn't under oath for cheating on Mrs. Claus, so he can't be impeached.

 

Are we going to start firing reporters who get a story wrong because they rely on a source, and don't independently verify the story?
