There has been more than one presidential female relative other than spouse who's served as "First Lady." Buchanan (almost certainly gay) had a niece, I believe. Think Wilson's daughter did it before he remarried.

I called bullshit on this story when it was first "reported":

Interesting (my least favorite cuntword) how aghast and horrified the Dumpfsters who continually rage about "political correctness" get whenever anybody says anything nasty or naughty about the God Emperor or the Pretty Princess.

Don't you call bullshit on any story that makes Muslims look like anything but raging terrorists out to destroy the world?

The incident supposedly happened on a crowded subway, and there were no witnesses who could verify it.

Plus, a Muslim woman is not an unusual sight in NYC.

This story was bullshit from the start, but the media didn't give a shit. It advanced their narrative that Trump supporters are racist, and are emboldened by his election. The media sought ought stories to back this narrative. They wanted to show an uptick in violence against Muslims, and other minorities, and some folks gave them the story they wanted.

The continuing wave of fake news proves again how media sites need more editors, not fewer. Because, left unchecked, too many reporters today don't mind rushing their juicy rumors into print or on the air instead of following the rules and standards established over decades.

Yes, that anti--Trump narrative is also why the "boy dying in Santa's arms" story got such traction. Yep. Totally.

Editors loved that story too, and didn't check it out.

But, this is another one of many anti-Muslim stories that have now been debunked. Maybe the media shouldn't be so fast to jump on them without any kind of verification.

When the corporate overlords are pressing the editors for three to five bylines from each reporter plus X number of social media posts and Y number of web hits per day then rules and standards get chucked out the window in exchange for keeping a paycheck.
