They both appear to be hammered. He's an OU running back. I'm not expecting him to act like Sir Galahad.

She attacks him twice. He goes WAY over the top in slugging her. He'll pay for that forever.

Sorry,my outrage meter isn't off the charts on this one.

That's way over the top if he does it after a 300-pound teammate shoves him. He could have done permanent damage or worse when all he had to do was leave. It's not like he accidently knocked her down trying to get her off him.

That was a brutal right hook if he does it to someone his own size. He coldcocked her with one shot.

Outraged? Not really - but if I did that to a woman I'd expect to get my ass kicked by bystanders and then thrown in jail. Of course, I'm not nearly as big and scary looking either.

It wasn't just that he coldcocked the woman. He showed no hesitation, no restraint. It was two seconds after she got in his face. He then clobbered her and walked away. Who does that?

There are a lot of ways to neutralize a woman in situations such as this. What Mixon did is not one of them. Dickhead.

I will say in his and OU's defense though, he did sit out an entire year for this. Haven't we all generally agreed that if Goodell comes down harder on Ray Rice before the video, Rice probably survives to see the field again even after it?

There should be a greater outrage that this was intentionally kept from the public and took a lawsuit to bring it out.

Anyone who says this is self defense is a moron or a liar. When a cop shoots an unarmed civilian over a quick movement a million people have a fit. This a similar. A little girl touched a big football player and he goes nuclear. It's like a natural reaction. Something he's done before. Something he's seen before. Like it's ingrained and practiced.

Knocks her out, walks away. It all good.

I can defend giving him another chance after a one-year suspension.

After the parking ticket incident, though, he should have been gone.

I hate to be a contrarian, but the only crimes I see in that video are the three times she battered him. She shoves him once. Then grabs him with her left hand. Then slaps him with her right hand. At that point he retaliates with a single blow that stops the assault. I admittedly don't know the quirks of Oklahoma's self-defense law, but think it would be hard to prove the force he used was excessive given that she had already come at him twice when he was turning or backing away.

I think it's telling that in her civil suit against him she did not bring any battery claims. The standard of proof in civil suits is lower. She instead brought claims of intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.

He actually sat out five months (August-January), and he stayed on scholarship the whole time.

It's like he was just redshirting.

What was the dispute about? Has that been disclosed? Just curious.
