There's a politically correct way of addressing this. And there's a politically incorrect way of addressing it.

And I, too, lean toward the politically incorrect way on this particular incident. At first, I didn't. I said it was just poin being poin, and all that. And then I watched the video.

She attacked him, whether she had any chance of injuring him or not. He reacted.

Her being a little woman and him being a big man only goes so far.

And by the way, why don't you list those options for us.

Is that better than a mule eating an apple?

Shottie, attacking him suggests that she was a real threat to injure him. If he had shoved her or grabbed her arms, it might have still looked bad, but I think that would have been a more reasonable response.

I can't believe some of the posts in this thread.
Next, I expect someone will come on here and say "The bitch deserved it."

You said that "as a correct legal term" the word is "silly." I have no fucking idea what that means.

And that's why there was no chance of having an intelligent debate about this -- the "I can't believe" syndrome.

Well, believe it. There might, just might, be some other way of looking at this than the way you are.

Yes, that would have been a more reasonable response -- if we're talking about degrees. But it's a fair point.

It's a D-1 athlete knocking a girl cold and walking away. THAT'S why you can't have an "intelligent" discussion about it -- because it's indefensible, no matter how hard people want to pretend otherwise.

Yes, she was being an asshole. There's is also no way he felt threatened by her. He could have walked away. He chose to knock her out instead.

The way guys will make excuses for actions like this is embarrassing.

Well, Hope Solo probably didn't recoil in horror, either. I mean, since you're gender-branding.

Sometimes, the correct response is obvious. As is stupidity.

Moral outrage becomes you, whomever you are (even though that in no way addressed what you quoted). Hey, I put my stance out there. Whatever you all think is going to be what you think.

If that's my daughter, Mixon wouldn't need to worry about playing in the NFL. He should be more concerned with taking his next breath.
