    If college football didn't wait a month to start its postseason, this wouldn't be an issue.

    New Mexico lost to both New Mexico State and Rutgers? They should have been disqualified to participate in a bowl on merit alone.

    Technically, they waited two weeks. The last full weekend of games was Dec. 3 and the first bowls were on Dec. 17.
