Oh for fuck's sake. Folks are gonna be whiny jerks. Everyone will be. Everyone will throw tantrums. And as long as you, I and anyone else keeps paying attention to them, we'll keep having them.

Shit, think of it this way, trying to get electors to switch their votes is at worst as stupid as trying to disqualify the president by pretending he wasn't eligible to run. And hey look, that ugly brand of dipshittery just turned politics on its head. It got your vote. Not much of a surprise the left might take a hint after watching someone "setting the precedent for the jerks they hate to use the same playbook on them one day." And I'll go out on a limb and guess a blind eye or two will be turned with the incoming president about something problematic.

(As for the system itself, it's a nice way to shift power from those who don't vote to those who do and put a slight thumb on the scale in favor of states with fewer people. I suppose it has the benefit of making certain states more important, though I don't really see why that's valuable. If its abolition meant someone on the right won because they simply got more votes even if they were distributed in some manner that would advantage the Dems in the current system, I suppose I'd just have to live with it)

Yes, the swamp has gotten even swampier. Not been drained one iota.

Always great when the white nationalists are excited about the country's future.

Those voters have no godblessed clue who Lena Dunham is. They don't know who any of the people you obsess about are. And what the hell did the cast of "Hamilton" do wrong?

It was the emails. It was always the emails. Both the private server and the leaked DNC and DNCCC (sp?) emails. People didn't really distinguish between the two, after a point. The slow burn of stories simply indicated to them that Hillary Clinton has some kind of troubling issue with the way she handles electronic communications. Go watch Trump's stump speeches and the way he would emphasize the word emails, even if it was innocuous.

Only big city elitists know who overpay for fancy-pants mochafrappacinos know who she is. Real Americans who drink Folgers couldn't pick her out of a crowd - nor know why they should be "outraged" that Clinton spent time with her.

    That's just silly.

A number of his cabinet, WH staff, and Ambassador picks would not have been considered by a conventional Republican -- not because they aren't excellent, but because they aren't conventional.

His appointees are much more conservative than we would have gotten from Jeb!, Marco, or Kasich.

That's because Mike Pence is picking them.

Yes, appointing Goldman Sachs bigwigs is completely not conventional. Nor is tapping Ben Carson, Rick Perry, Nikki Haley or Jeff Sessons for Cabinet posts!

    Don't be silly.

They know Hillary was hanging around with liberal elites in NYC, who are nothing like them, instead of visiting UAW union halls in Michigan.

Tip O'Neill always made the point that you need to ask people for their vote.

Trump specifically asked these folks for their vote. Hillary didn't.

They felt neglected by her, and her famous friends.

Does it bother you that the buffoon in chief has already gone to war with his intelligence agencies, in his friend Vlad's honor?

Those with Goldman Sachs connections would not have been considered by Trump during the campaign, either. Is Goldman still bad and swampy or America-greatening? Tough to keep it all straight...

    Also, emails.

But, yes, the Democratic party has become the party of coastal elites. I don't disagree with that. I don't really know how you turn back the clock, although it's fun to see you so energized about the worker, comrade.
