Nobody is beating Brady for MVP.

ROY between Prescott and Elliott will be interesting. I have to lean Zeke. He's been the more consistent of the two. I don't see a darkhorse other than maybe Bosa.

It's all interrelated, which is why the idea of an MVP in professional football is kind of silly. Take away one of those three pieces and the other two don't look nearly so good.

I agree with you. But it's weird everyone in football keeps telling you it's the ultimate team sport and then only gives individual awards to offensive stars.

Sean Lee has been by far the best defensive player on the team with the league's best record -- which also ranks No. 1 in the league in rushing defense.

As I recall, NFLGSIS's stats show him second in the league in total tackles and solo tackles.

Bell is the real outlier. The QBs are all bunched together. Bell is averaging more than 20 yards more per game from scrimmage than the nearest guy, David Johnson.

Steelers with Bell last year win the Super Bowl.

    2. Aaron Rodgers (though he could play his into No. 1)

  7. Maybe. I couldn't think of any worth serious consideration.
    I'll add an "other."

  8. My sole argument against Brady is they went 4-1 without him.
Does NE make the playoffs without Brady? I think so.
The same with Prescott/Elliott. With Romo/Elliott I think Dallas still makes the playoffs and contends. The same is true with Prescott/and whoever is backing Elliott (if he weren't playing).
Isn't Rodgers having an off year in terms of passing? I say that without looking.

I think the Falcons may or may not make the playoffs with Schaub instead of Ryan under center. But the Falcons are hardly a dominant team. Dangerous? Oh hell yes.

But I really like Carr. If they miss the 2-point conversion against New Orleans whats happens? Are still atop the division? I don't think the Raiders make the playoffs without Carr.

  9. And Dallas also has one of the best O-lines in the NFL... Makes it easy to run and pass with you got holes and time.

I think they beat the Broncos with him, but I doubt they would have beaten the Patriots on the road.

You have to look at more than yards from scrimmage per game with Bell because of the time he missed due to the suspension. Of course, Brady missed even more time, so there is that argument.

The offensive line isn't helping Sean Lee make tackles, is it?

It looks like the Cowboys make the playoffs without their original starting QB. Do the Falcons win 2 games with Shaub? Do the Giant win 2 games without Eli, who is not even playing very good? Green Bay without Rogers may be less than the Eagles.
Without the 1st string QB, 10 of the 12 playoff teams would have losing records
