As I wrote next, what he did in July was bullshit. His job was only to issue the report without his commentary.

Actually, no ... protocol was that he not say a damn thing.

Comey was a hero when he was racing to the AG's hospital room during the Bush administration.

    He's the same guy now.

He's not a hero. At best he's a competent director who intentionally affected an election with either galactically inappropriate judgment or malice, and should be fired.

Prosecution is not necessarily undertaken with the objective of criminal conviction.

Obama could (and still can) fire Comey simply because he doesn't like the color socks he has on. The FBI director serves at the pleasure of the president. The "prosecution" would be directed by Obama to establish WHY Comey was being summarily dismissed.

But he didn't want to look like an angry black man.

Stipulating that his announcements actually did that (I'm not completely sold), he was either going to affect the election by speaking or affect the election by not speaking. If the emails are why Herself got beat, she has only herself to blame.

Dude, at the root of this problem, there was nothing in the emails to begin with. Much like the Benghazi witch hunt that ended on Nov. 9.

Honestly, given Trump's social media addiction and self-Googling, I'd lay a cold beer or three he or other staffers have seen this thread. Or the one about his cheating at golf.

I'm not re-litigating all this shit. Herself's setting up the system was in and of itself a ridiculously reckless thing to do. And neither you nor I know what actually passed through that system. All we have is what's left after Herself's minions decided what she would deign to turn over to the investigation.

Given his impulses, it's actually a shock he hasn't shown up posting here or some random Reddit gabfest. Maybe he has.

I actually kind of like Trump. I think he's a cartoon character completely unfit for the presidency, but guy-to-guy, I like him.
