Are you just playing a part now? You have a daughter, right?

Trump may have said or done things that were inappropriate, but the idea that you would want a good looking girl at the host stand is not unique to him.

Nope -- Hillary was going to blow the lid off the UFO thing, remember?

I would consider firing people based on their looks inappropriate. I don't think the likelihood that "others do it" it really a factor here.

Did you read the article? Did the managers seem to agree that, of course, you just want the most tremendous-looking babes at the host stand? Or did they seem to think it was somehow wrong?

    True ...

I don't know how they manage to get away with it, but golf courses' track record at "randomly" finding attractive young women for beer-cart duty astounds me. Why, you'd almost think they try to do it.

Slight side story: When Elder DaughterQuant (EDQ) was a junior/senior in high school, she started thinking about where she might find a part-time job. Once she suggested she'd like to be the beer-cart driver at my club. Rarely has she received a more emphatic "Hell no!" from her dad than in that instance.

Seriously, that was my thought as well. Maybe his daughter is just too young for him to make the connection.

Not every restaurant owner is a creepy, ogling old man who's not above using his power to coerce women, and sometimes underaged girls, into doing whatever he wants.

    No one got fired, right?

With no context, it's not even clear if he was joking.

All I'm saying is that this isn't some job where you can pass over a better qualified candidate for a good looking one. It doesn't take a ton of skill to be a hostess. Being good looking is basically the requirement.

Have you been to restaurants? If there's a dedicated host, it's almost always a female. They're usually young, and often good looking.

So, we probably shouldn't have young female interns at the White House during the Trump administration, huh?

Who knows what might happen, especially if there's a government shut down.

Not that @Baron Scicluna would find anything wrong with anything that might happen, despite the difference in the power dynamic.

I'm sure YF won't be offended when someone says his daughter is a really hot piece of ass in those pants at the front door at the local B-dub.

Do you think he was joking? Did it seem that the managers re-arranging schedules to have the best-looking women around when Trump may be there thought he was joking?

How would you like to be the one to fire a hostess because she wasn't hot enough any more?

Do you like John Bolton's mustache? Do you think it's a dealbreaker?
