LOL. Yeah. That should garner a lot of support.

I would guess the preferred response would be along the lines of "Once inaugurated I will ask Pence to resign. I'll then nominate Clinton to replace him. On her confirmation I will resign."

    Let's try this one:

"We already have enough weapons - both sufficient in quality and quantity - to destroy the world several times over. If Russia wants to throw money away on a pointless arms race, They're welcome to. We're going to focus on making America Great Again."

.... and then quietly, and without bluster, make necessary changes to our nuclear forces.

And what's more - if you want to intimidate Russia into behaving, more nukes aren't necessary. It's not like Russia goes, "Oh they have 5,000 warheads, so we can risk nuclear exchange. .... but if they have 7,000 warheads, we can't!"

If you want to change the status quo in the nuclear arms race, you continue to press forward with ballistic missile defense and things like Aegis Ashore.

I doubt the Fascist Fuck has many supporters among NBA superstars.

What's he gonna do, throw LeBron James in Gitmo for being too uppity?

No, it isn't, YF. The left as one monolithic group that thinks, speaks and acts the same way is another of your tired, ridiculous tactics that should have been retired long ago.

I think this particular argument was a bit silly, but you have brought that upon yourself with the hypocrisy all over this thread.

And now you think the president of the United States should base his foreign policy on elementary school playground tactics. That's just lovely.

It was our policy until we realized that was insane and instead tried to limit our nukes and Russia's.

Why is it dumb that some -- like myself -- could think Trump is acting in concert with Putin. Did he mention Russia in the tweet?
    '
At the very least, we have evidence that Russia wanted Trump elected president. He has all kinds of cronies and former cronies with close ties to Russia and Putin.

And it's dumb that to think that Trump might take his cues from Putin?

Funniest thing about Trump's nuclear weapon bluster is it wasn't too long ago he was ripping Obama for announcing military plans so our enemies could have time to prepare. Now he's telegraphing his plans to jumpstart the nuclear arms race.

Oh and speaking of the military and veterans ...

OMG. This it too dumb for words.

    They aren't remotely comparable.

Obama was telegraphing the timing of the battle to retake Mosul. ISIS militants could, and did, take actions in response to this.

Trump is responding to Putin here. It's no different than what we did during the entire cold war.

And, what pray tell could someone do to prepare for a nuclear arms race.

Mineshaft gap. Gotta make that GREAT again. Lower the gap and increase the ratio.

"OMG. This is too dumb for words." <Types 50-plus words after that.>

And YF, the principle is the same. If you're going to bash somebody for revealing military plans, then you yourself shouldn't turn around and do the same. Of course, my mistake is thinking Trump and/or his supporters have principles.
