My first Kings game was the '85-'86 season. I scored tickets from Scott St. James. Every night he had a trivia question -- on this night it was, Who broke the Lakers' 33-game winning streak in 1971? -- and I answered it correctly and won 2 tickets to a Kings-Blackhawks game. Pretty decent tickets, middle of the ice, higher end of the loge section. The Kings score less than 30 seconds into the game -- Bernie, IIRC -- but then the Hawks beat the shit out of them the rest of the way for a 6-3 win.

 

Last:

MLB game: Mets (?) at Reds in 1980, I think. Ken Griffey (not called Senior yet) hit a walkoff HR off the foul pole in the bottom of the ninth.
NBA game: Probably some Cavs game in college.
NHL game: Same one that was my last three years ago
NFL game: Steelers at Browns in like 1993 when Eric Metcalf ran back two punts for TDs. Went as media member; some guy asked long-winded question of Belichick which ended with , "Did youever see two punt returns for TDs in the same game?" Belichick paused and just said, "No."
MLS or other major soccer: Same Cleveland Crunch game from college.
College football game: Freezing cold University of Toledo game on a campus visit.
College basketball game: Probably my own D3 alma mater's games.
Other college sporting event: Something even by my alma mater, wrestling, soccer, who knows.
Concert: Lollapalooza 1992 at Star Lake Amphitheater outside Pittsburgh. Pearl jam, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers among the performers.
Auto race: Same Cleveland Grand prix that was my last.
Theater performance that your children were not in: Probably "Oklahoma" staged by my high school.
Movie: Digby the Biggest Dog in the World at a downtown theater in my hometown that is long gone.
Wedding: I don't remember any weddings until I entered the working world.
High school sporting event: Some football or basketball game when I eas in HS.

Political rally: Springsteen/REM Rock the Vote concert in 2004.
New York City: Junior year of college for some college journalism convention. Phil Mushnick was on the only panel I remember going to.
