First President to openly rebel against the government he formerly headed (by later joimg the Confederate congress.) First President to be ejected from his own party - the Whigs - while in the White House. First President to take a 24-year-old woman, three decades younger than him, as wife while in office. And, of course, first president to watch half of his cabinet die horribly in a freak naval munitions accident.

You couldn't wish for a better role model.

 

Mike Pence got drunk and took over the Twitter account maybe? That's all I got.

 

And he has grandsons alive...at least they were last year.

 

Who's the bigger threat: Russia, China, or North Korea?

 

A special prosecutor? Absolutely! What a great idea! We can investigate Trump for four years, go all sorts of far afield from where the investigation started, and end up looking at his sex life. Maybe we can find out how many abortions he's paid for!

What? Democrats aren't in the majority, so we can't have six or eight different committees investigate him as long as he's in office?

Darn.

 

That's simple: They are all threats. Russia because they have Trump in their pocket and a KGB apparatchik in charge, China because they they think long term and shrewdly, own a shit-ton of our T-bills and have lots of leverage to screw with our economy, and are actively pursuing their own agenda and daring anyone to stop them. NK because that crazy fucker might do anything.

From a US Navy perspective, China. They are flexing their power, beyond the manmade island stuff, and the USN is having to adapt. And the China problem extends into space and cyber too.
