Also pretty clear that police were shooting folks -- often black folks -- for little or no reason. Guess they should not have complained so the police could continue to keep them safe.

I am sure you are correct here. One bit of perspective regarding Syrian refugees is that our allies in Europe are taking in millions and we were agreeing to do our part by taking a fraction.

Kind of like pigging out at dinner with friends who nibbled at their food, sticking them with the bill and agreeing to leave the tip.

Yet you still tried to present it as an unbiased source.

Not one of those is a dumber choice than the dumbass who won last month.

    Even Oprah.

    Side note: Oprah? Really?

I laughed at the sheer level of condescension in this post.

Especially given the source, who has proven his hypocrisy and ignorance on such topics time and again.

Sorry guys, but if you're going to be on a board of purportedly learned folks, and argue politics, then you should be familiar with the Manhattan Institute, and the City Journal.

Their work influenced Rudy Giuliani's policies, which turned around New York City.

You really need to get out of your bubble if you want to discuss urban policy, but haven't read their work.

Sounds East Coast elitist to me.

Maybe there's a game show host out there who can run. Worked this time. What's Steve Harvey up to?

    LOL.

The GOP bench was a mess four years ago. Such a mess a fame-whore, reality TV personality who just just found "conservative" viewpoints in the past few years (and might be a Russian puppet) represents the party of Lincoln and Reagan.

There's basically been one big city where these kind of policies were implemented -- and they worked.

You'd think people might have noticed.

The Manhattan Institute is the preeminent think tank on urban policy. But, because it's conservative, liberals have apparently never heard of it. That's honestly pretty pathetic, and it's not East Coast elitism to say so.
