    OK. Sure.

But, unless Mark Cuban, or Howard Schultz decides to run, what Dem will stand a chance against Trump?

The best known Dems -- Obama, Obama, Clinton, Clinton, Sanders, Biden, Warren, Schumer, Pelosi -- are all too old to run, ineligible, or some combination of unelectable and/or unwilling to run.

    Who's never heard of it?

Several - especially if Trump's kleptocracic and megalomaniac tendencies go wild. Or if it becomes even more apparent he's working at the behest of Putin instead of the blue-collar folks to whom he made all those promises.

Can you explain Rudy since then? Did his subscription to the City Journal run out and he has lost his way?

    "Several".

    LOL. Come on, name one.

Saying "several" is like when Republicans were saying that the 2016 field was the greatest ever assembled, and that Bobby Jindal would defeat Hillary Clinton.

I have not heard of the Manhattan Institute, but I have heard of the Bronx Zoo, Queens College and Manhattan Transer.

    Does that count?

Maybe they have, but instead of any response to crime statistics, I got a pearl clutching response to the opinion stated in the lede, and accusations that I was trying to pass off a "biased" news source as something other than what it was.

Didn't make it appear as though @outofplace was familiar with it at all.

News flash: Sports journalists are not nececessarilly experts in city planning, policing, right-wing drunk tanks or lots of stuff. In fact, reporters often have to cover a story knowing almost nothing from the start and have to learn quickly.

    Sheeeut

All posting that article tells me is that you don't give a round, ruddy fuck about bias. You just want to cheerlead for your side and you think "bias" and "failed media" are just clubs in the bag to take out and hammer the other side with.

That isn't the beginning of serious scholarship, worthy of weighing carefully against preconceived notions. That's a racist, authoritarian Facebook uncle with better grammar.

By the way, Stormfront is a big influence on the next president, who will be "turning around" the whole country. I'm not breaking out of my bubble to read it either.

There's a subject that OOP isn't an expert on? Oh, you're going to hear from him.

But, seriously, folks here have been arguing politics, policing, #BLM, and other topics for years.

If you're going to formulate an argument on these topics, you should at least be familiar with the other side of the argument.

The agenda of the author, and the narrative she's pushing, is irrelevant? Are you sure?

I read the piece. The stats are bad. But she offers nothing substantial to tie them into "depolicing."

    False.

    LOL.

    LOL.

By the way, the author should also look up some things before linking to pieces claiming BLM was founded on a lie. The "lie" it cites is not what BLM was founded on at all.

    LOL.

Yes, several. Just as several GOPers could have beaten Clinton.

You're assuming Trump will be a success. If he is, he'll be tough - if not impossible - to beat. If he fails to deliver on his grandiose promises, then several Ds will emerge who can beat him.
