Well, sure, if your balloon debt winds up being forgiven . . .

Us bootstrap pullin', debt-payin' off non-slackers will reserve judgment until then. :)

Fuck you, really. There were years - not days, not weeks, years - when my dad didn't know where our next meal was coming from. My mom went back to school to get her degree while raising two little kids, to try to keep us afloat. I spent 10 years in this business, driving the back roads to high school games like everyone here. So fuck you, for judging because at age fucking 40, after working my ass off and making sacrifice after sacrifice that others won't make, I got a Christmas bonus that was promptly used to pay off debt accrued while we were in three-year survival mode.

(The "fuck yous" are limited to this thread. I like SnarkShark's posts.)

I'm torn, because he's actually quite right and yet comes across so pompous that you don't want to agree.

Well, he is a "snarky" shark.

I'm not judging anything. Lots of people go through shit and good for you for getting out of it.

But spare me the sob story and your "you don't want to know" about your bonus, begging for someone to ask what it was. Then, responding to a post that wasn't about you.

You have a nice job and a hot wife. We get it. It's good to be you.

Is it unusual to think that about one's spouse? I would hope nearly everyone would.

I don't know if it's usual or unusual. I just don't feel the need to tout my wife on a message board.

    Message boards are serious business.

Not sure I follow your point. Isn't that ... what's going on here?

I'm saying that you live by your credo. Not an insult; probably a compliment.

    Gotcha.

I'm conditioned to assume sarcasm first around here.
