When the Burlington Free Press out reports the Washington Post, and actually contacts the utility:

Should be stamped to the forehead of every journalist.

"Our" weapons are used by terrorists around the world. Doesn't mean "we" are firing the bullets, does it?

BTW, congrats on the WaPo for hiring 25 more State Department stenographers. May have as many as the NYT now.

If The Post didn't even call the utility, that's pretty embarrassing.

They had a anonymous government official as a SOURCE. What more did they need?

They had an anonymous one, and three (3) other high-profile, named sources.

Not making excuses, but nine times out of 10, at least one of them will know what's actually going on. It's equally embarrassing that none of them knew the truth, either.

If you liked the story, you'd be backing their approach 100 percent.

The greatest thing about the Russian hack story is to see the right wingers, who have been screeching that Russia is the Great Satan for 95 years, all rushing to spew alibis about how it's all lies and couldn't possibly be true. Who knew all it would take to turn the righties into big fans of the Russians was a neegro president?

The Russian Foreign Minister calls for throwing out 35 of our "diplomatic attaches" and sanctions to match what Obama did. Putin says "No need for that. We can settle things amicably". Trump says "What a nice guy Putin, is a genius".

This is nothing more than playing good cop/bad cop, and Trump is swallowing it whole.

Not if the story was wrong.

Report the story however the fuck you want -- as long as you get it right.

The Post ran a RUSSIANS HACKED OUR ELECTRICAL GRID story, and they got it wrong.

Some malware, that can probably be found on some SJ.com members laptops, was found on one laptop, not connected to the grid.

    That's not even a story.

The "update" negates the whole premise of the original story.

How do you know that two different newspapers have the same anonymous source?

Two questions: (1) Didn't he say he wouldn't ditch the pool; and (2) Who's keeping score?
