I wonder if Linehan and Marinelli get do-overs after the season Dallas has had. Belichick got a similar do-over.

 

I don't think you can get a do-over after going 0-16. Though as someone who has had to put up with Lions fans my whole life, Marinelli getting the "Gruden Grinder" last night was rather amusing.

 

There was a report out that Manuel would start next week very quickly after the news broke that Ryan was being fired, so that seems like the real reason. I didn't know about the contract situation until you posted it. That makes more sense now.

This would mark the second time in NFL history that a team fired two coaches in a row after one year each. The first time was also the 49ers in the 1970s, during the chaos that led to Jed's grandpa selling the team.

Unfortunately that will not be a nice bookend to the DeBartolo/York era, as the Boy King will remain in power forever.

 

Like this no-brainer is really a surprise.

 

Assuming he takes a college job somewhere, Chip will be getting paid by three teams next year.

 

My only hope is Denise hires a Carmen Policy type to take some of the decision making away from Jeddy Y.
